God help those Italians, those wreck of human being. But man do they know how to craft cars. Fell in love with Lamborghini the first time I’ve seen it I think. Would want to have one once I can swing it.

Wouldn’t mind a Ferrari either…

the part where I answer Techmeme’s questions   Leave a comment

1. What are the main factors impacting Facebook’s future profitability that weigh on the company’s investors today?

The inevitable push to drive quick returns, which might result in premature business models and monetization strategies.

2. What advantages do products challenging iPad hold in the marketplace today, and how do you expect this competition will play out in the year ahead?

As of current, most iPad competitors hold the cost advantage over the iPad. The current iPad is exceptionally expensive compared to the competition. In the year ahead, this is likely to change, as Apple is believed to release a smaller iPad with lower price compared to their current products. This will gain Apple the advantages that they lack of today. If there are no major flaws in the ‘mini iPad’ (both hardware and software), and it is highly probable that will be the case, market will be won. As time and again Apple has proven consumers love their products more, in regard to vast ecosystem, seamless user interface and superior hardware, to name a few.

3. “The cloud” is a term used to describe a defining characteristic of variety of products ranging from consumer to enterprise, and from user-facing to backend. Which “cloud” products have had the broadest impact, and why?

Amazon Cloud – due to the number of services it hosts, which affect hundreds millions of consumers everywhere.

4. Contrast the 4 publications featured most often on Techmeme with respect to what they bring to Techmeme’s coverage.

TechCrunch – Insight and analysis on latest issues in start-up.
TheVerge – Coverage of broad technology-related news.
TheNextWeb – International coverage of technological business and culture.
AllThingsD – Opinions on technological news.

I found out yesterday that through the company’s history, Ferrari has only sold 130.000 units.

Ferrari is a 65-year business. Having sold 130.000 units, they only average 2.000 units annually. As a comparison, 130.000 units is the number Toyota produce annually at ONE factory.

I’m always amazed at how something that works relatively small in numbers, has a very large presence.
